Things to know about your NBN connection
The nbn network is not available in all areas or to all customers. nbn services are only available to premises that are pre-installed with nbn technology.
The standard installation of an nbn service is to one point in your house, you may need to undertake your own additional work to make other points in the house nbn-ready.
Line speed refers to the max nbn port access speed. Actual speeds may differ due to various factors including your equipment, the source and type of content being downloaded, the applications you are using and the websites you are accessing and performance of interconnecting infrastructure not operated by Hello Broadband. We cannot therefore guarantee that you will receive the maximum nbn port access speed at your premises.
The installation of nbn FTTN or FTTB may disconnect the current copper line telecommunications service that is connected to your premises.
Please be aware any existing ancillary services and devices that rely on your copper line telecommunications service will no longer work unless you move them to the nbn (such as medical alarms, back-to-base alarms, personal response systems, fax machines and EFTPOS). Please check with your device/service manufacturer or provider to see if the device is nbn compatible.
New Development Charge: If your address has been classifed by nbn Co as a new development, Hello Broadband will be charged $300 by nbn Co. Hello Broadband will charge you a $300 New Development Charge to connect your service. The nbn Co New Development Charge is in addition to any Service Activation Fee that may be payable according to your chosen plan.
