  • The Hello Broadband Voice Service provided is internet telephony. Service availability and quality may differ from a standard telephone.
  • You will need a technician if you want your existing phone sockets wired into the nbn. This would be required if you have more than one phone in your home and you want all of them to work over your nbn connection.
  • In the event of a power outage your nbn Service, including your Voice Service, will not work. Please be aware that Hello Broadband does not include a battery backup power supply for the nbn Connection Equipment or Hello Broadband modem. This means you won't be able to make or receive calls during a power failure, including not being able to call emergency service numbers. You should ensure you have alternative means to make calls (such as a charged up mobile phone).
  • The service may not be appropriate if you or another resident have a disability, serious illness or other life-threatening condition which requires an uninterruptible phone line with access to 000 emergency services. Medical and back to base alarms requiring a phone line will not work during a power outage.
  • Priority Assistance does not apply to the telephone service.
  • You can purchase your own backup power supply for the nbn Connection Equipment, Hello Broadband modem and other devices to enable them to work during power outages.
